An entered payment is not reported as collected until an authorized user verifies it — and a reversal states its reason. One payment can settle several statements; every peso is allocated explicitly, and unallocated cash stays visible instead of quietly vanishing into a balance.

A school's student count is a sequence of dated academic-year snapshots — total, verified, and noted — not one editable number. Billing locks the snapshot it billed against, so this year's enrollment never rewrites last year's statements.

Drafts never touch stock.

Authorization is server-side
Hidden navigation is presentation only. Every mutation is permission-checked again on the server — and in production, enforced a second time by Postgres row-level security.
Every action leaves a mark
Structured audit entries record who, what, when, and what changed. The trail is append-only: even an Owner can't quietly rewrite history.
History is preserved
Incorrect statements are voided, not deleted. Payments reverse with a reason. Contracts supersede. Population snapshots persist. Nothing silently disappears.
